Derbyshire Living Well
Derbyshire is developing a new way of working across the whole system to provide person-centred, holistic and community-based care and support. The program, called Living Well, is transforming the way mental health services are delivered across voluntary and statutory organisations - through creating new teams, new networks and new community support.
DFMH has been involved with development of Living Well since 2020. We were part of the Living Well prototype team in the High Peak and we now employ the VCSE staff within the Living Well teams in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.

DRPSS - Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service
This service is open to anyone over the age of 18 living in Derbyshire who is experiencing mental ill health and will offer access to targeted one to one support from staff, telephone support and community based groups.
The one to one support service is carried out by an Individual Support Worker. The support is time limited and goal specific to aid recovery. All our support staff are initially trained to meet Care Certificate standards and Diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care. Specialist training is also provided such as alcohol awareness, dementia, suicide awareness, eating disorders and hate crime.
Targeted Support can provide:

Emotional support, which recognises the individuals specific mental health condition.

Support in learning and relearning skills such as social skills, everyday life and domestic skills, budgeting, health, safety and security.

Liaise with other agencies – which can become difficult during or when recovering from mental ill health.

Support to access informal learning or community activities, volunteering or employment
