Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health

‘The Federation’ (DFMH) began as the Federation of West Derbyshire Mental Health Support Groups in 1985. It commenced life as an affiliation of self-help groups, then following joint Social Services and health funding took on the role of direct mental health support. This has expanded to include work on behalf of the Derbyshire County Council and NHS primary care, and from our beginnings, in the Dales area we now also operate in the High Peak, Chesterfield, and areas to the south. In 2006 we became a charitable company limited by guarantee under the new name The Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health.
